The German born architect Martin Ebert formed Neue Heimat in 2019. After being employed at various Norwegian architect firms since 1997 Ebert accepted a position as associate professor at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences NMBU in 2018. He teaches students of various master-studies freehand-sketching, architectural history and architectural design.

Ebert, born and raised in Mecklenburg, is educated MA in city-planning at the Hochschule for Architektur und Bauwesen Weimar (Bauhaus Universität) and the TU Hamburg. After moving to Norway he was recognised as "sivilarkitekt" by NTNU Trondheim.

As the offices owner and only employee Ebert designs small and medium-size projects for private and corporate clients. The relation to his clients is therefore close and personal – just as the architecture.
